Questions About Waxing

Is waxing painful?

  • While waxing may cause some discomfort, many find the sensation tolerable and manageable. We use techniques to minimize discomfort and the results often outweigh any temporary discomfort.

How long does waxing last?

  • The duration of waxing varies from person to person but typically, hair regrows within 3-6 weeks. regular waxing can lead to finer regrowth over time, extending the duration between sessions.

Can I wax if I have sensitive skin?

  • Yes, waxing is possible for individuals with sensitive skin. Although our wax is formulated specifically for sensitive skin, it is essential to communicate any skin sensitivities or allergies to your technician beforehand. We can recommend suitable products and techniques to minimize irritation

How should I prepare for a waxing appointment?

  • Before your appointment, ensure that your hair is long enough to wax. Typically around 1/4 to 1/2 inch long, about the length of a grain of rice. Exfoliate the skin gently to remove dead skin cells and avoid applying moisturizers or oils to the area being wax on the day of your appointment

Can I wax during menstruation?

  • While it is possible to wax during menstruation, many individuals find it more uncomfortable due to increased sensitivity. It's best to schedule your waxing appointment for a time when you're not menstruating if possible. Menstruation will not be accepted as a valid reason for a late cancellation or no call no show. Please reach out to your technician if you have concerns about waxing while menstruating.

Are there any post-waxing care tips?

  • After waxing, avoid hot baths, saunas, sec, and direct sunlight for 24-48 hours. exfoliate the waxed area regularly to prevent ingrown hairs, and moisturize to keep the skin hydrated and smooth.

Can I wax if I'm pregnant?

  • Waxing during pregnancy is generally safe, but some women may experience increased sensitivity due to hormonal changes. It's recommended to consult with your healthcare provider and inform your waxing technician about your pregnancy before your appointment.

What areas of the body can be waxed?

  • Waxing can be performed on various body parts, including the eyebrows, upper lip, chin, underarms, arms, legs, bikini area, and back. Out technicians are trained to provide professional waxing services for any desired area.

How long should my hair be for waxing?

  • Ideally, hair should be around 1/4 to 1/2 inch long for waxing. If your hair is too short the wax may not effectively grip the hair for removal, and if its too long, trimming may be necessary before waxing.

Can I wax if I'm using certain skincare products or medications?

  • Certain skincare products containing retinoids or exfoliating acids can make the skin more sensitive and prone to irritation and skin lifting during waxing. Similarly, some medications may affect the skin's sensitivity. It's essential to inform your waxing technician about any skincare products or medications you're using before your appointment.
